At Hands Group, community impact is woven into the way we lead, grow, and engage with society. Through structured foundations, long-standing partnerships, and leadership-driven initiatives, our ESG efforts are focused on creating meaningful, lasting change across communities in Sri Lanka.
By combining the structured compassion of the PJFM Charity Foundation with the service-driven leadership demonstrated by both Kushal Perera and Graetian Gunawardhana, Hands Group remains committed to ensuring that business growth directly uplifts communities

Under the leadership of Mr Kushal Perera, CEO & Chairman, Hands Group has continued to strengthen and expand its community initiatives by placing structured CSR, long-term partnerships, and hands-on involvement at the centre of its ESG strategy. His approach reflects a clear belief that responsible leadership must extend beyond commercial success to actively contribute to social upliftment and long-term community wellbeing.
Mr. Perera has played a key role in advancing partnerships with charitable organisations and service-driven platforms such as the Lions Club, supporting initiatives that focus on children, education, welfare, and community resilience. Through consistent engagement and practical support, his leadership ensures that CSR efforts are not one-off gestures, but sustained programmes designed to create meaningful and measurable impact—reinforcing Hands Group’s commitment to serving communities with dignity, continuity, and care.
Love. Give. Repeat.
At the heart of Hands Foundation’s work stands the PJFM Charity Foundation, established under the vision of Pastor Wendy Fernando. What began as a simple desire to care for those in need by feeding, clothing, and supporting vulnerable individuals has grown into a trusted, nationwide platform for compassion, empowerment, and long-term community impact.
For more than two decades, this work existed as a quiet but consistent charitable effort, touching lives through direct action and human connection. In September 2022, these efforts were formally established as the PJFM Charity Foundation, strengthening its ability to scale impact, collaborate with authorities and professionals, and deliver sustainable support across Sri Lanka.
Today, the Foundation works closely with volunteers, social workers, professionals, and local institutions to identify families, communities, and public services in need of assistance. Many of its initiatives are designed to continue indefinitely, ensuring support that goes beyond short-term relief and creates enduring change.
At its core, PJFM Charity Foundation is a compassionate force dedicated to uplifting lives, restoring dignity, and building a more resilient society.
“Our purpose is simple: to uplift lives with dignity, consistency, and love.”
The PJFM Charity Foundation concentrates its efforts across four key pillars:

Mentorship, counselling, and rehabilitation programmes designed to restore dignity and hope among incarcerated individuals.
